Null's Brawl v61.249 Update: Kaze & Jae-Yong — What's New

Null’s Brawl v61.249 rolled out on April 23, 2025, bringing Kaze and Jae-Yong to the private server alongside the full Battle For Katana Kingdom season: WASABI powers, the MEGA BUFFET club event, ONI Hunt, and Brawl Arena.

Kaze

Kaze is an Ultra Legendary Assassin and the first brawler with two full Aspects: geisha and ninja. She starts every life in her geisha Aspect, dashing forward before slashing in a short radius, with a rotating Strike Spot that deals bonus damage and resets when hit. Her Super in this Aspect throws a fan that whips up a storm over a wide area.

Her Gadget swaps her into the ninja Aspect, where her main attack becomes a pair of thrown knives that hit harder up close, and her Super turns into a 9-tile dash that marks enemies for a delayed detonation. Her Star Powers and second Gadget add slows, healing, invisibility, and extended Gadget uptime depending on which Aspect she’s in — the whole kit is built around picking the right Aspect for the moment, not sitting in one mode all game.

Jae-Yong

Jae-Yong is a Mythic Support built around switching between a work mode and a party mode. In work mode, his speaker attack drops slipstreams that speed up himself and allies; in party mode, he throws bottles that damage enemies and heal allies caught in their path. His Super, Mix It Up!, swaps between the two modes and grants a buff on the switch — a speed boost from work mode, an instant heal from party mode — and his Trait lets that Super charge passively over time.

His Gadgets each deal a burst of area damage or crowd control while also forcing a mode switch, and his Star Powers reward staying near allies or landing pierce attacks — Jae-Yong rewards players who track which mode they’re in and switch with intent, rather than attacking on autopilot.

The season’s core loot loop runs on Sushi Rolls, which unlock WASABI powers — 60 different ones in total, giving the event a much deeper collection layer than a typical seasonal pass.

MEGA BUFFET turns that collection into a club event: playing alongside clubmates earns Sushi Rolls toward shared milestones, rewarding coordinated play rather than solo grinding. ONI Hunt adds a 3v1 boss fight against a hypercharged Kenji, and Brawl Arena introduces a MOBA-style mode focused on pushing down and destroying the enemy base rather than the usual Brawl Stars win conditions.

The Katana Kingdom season ships 15+ new seasonal skins, headlined by Hypercharged ONI Kenji and Cursed Kenji — both tied directly to the ONI Hunt boss fight. True Gold and True Silver skins for Finx and Lumi, added in an earlier update, remain available alongside the new cosmetics.

The update also adds 8 new Hypercharges across the existing roster, on top of the two new brawlers’ kits.
